Most tour operators will gladly refund your purchase if it’s more than 48 hours before your activity start time. Taxes and fees are included at checkout. Hawaii General Excise Tax is 4.127%. If you are booking online, FareHarbor, the vendor who owns and operates the booking software, charges an online booking fee, normally about 6%.

Feel the ocean mist land on your skin and soak in some sun while relaxing the afternoon sail. Taking an afternoon sail onboard the Makani Catamaran is a great way to break up your day during your visit to Oahu. This sail is a great activity for all experience levels. The views of the turquoise water and the occasional sea life you spot swimming through it are sure to create memories that will last a lifetime.
You might just see spinner dolphins gliding in front of the boat’s hulls or see humpback whales spouting or breaching off in the distance. Humpback whales take the 6,000 mile journey to Hawaii once a year. They trade chilly arctic waters for Hawaii’s warmer waters to mate and give birth. Whale watchers can spot them off the coast between December to April. Sea turtles are not an uncommon sight along the way as well! Makani Catamaran also offers a sea turtle snorkel, lunch, and sail excursion if you want to get in the water to swim with them on your trip.
The state of the art catamaran has both covered and uncovered seating. Most guests prefer to lay across the net between the two hulls and watch the ocean below. Be prepared to get wet in the front though! Sometimes the hulls powering through the waves can splash up on deck. Be sure to keep your cameras in a dry place while you relax.
The boat has covered seating to get you out of the sun if you have spent too much time in the sun already during your stay. There are also two bathrooms on board the boat and the crew will do everything they can to make the trip a comfortable, enjoyable, and memorable one. Make sure to enjoy a drink or cocktail from the full bar on your trip.

Please send tour cancellation requests or rescheduling requests directly to the operator you booked with. The cancellation policy for each company is included in the checkout process adjacent to the payment info and is also included in confirmation and reminder emails.
When in doubt, notify the operator you booked with and communicate with them as soon as you know you will need to cancel or reschedule. The earlier the better. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee.
