We believe you should get the lowest price possible offered by the tour operator. Many tour operators offer online booking discounts and we try to make sure those are posted on our website. We try to keep those updated, but sometimes they expire or change. If you notice any discount codes don’t work or are missing, Contact Us so that we can update that information.
Transactions on ActiveOahu.com are made directly with the tour operator you booked with, so you will need to abide by the tour operator’s cancellation policy which is included in the confirmation email you receive after booking a tour. Most tour operators will gladly refund your purchase if it’s more than 48 hours before your activity start time. If you have trouble getting in contact with the company you booked with, give us a call at (808)498-1894 and we can probably help you out. The tour operator’s contact information is included in the confirmation email.
All refund decisions will be made by the tour operator you book with.
Taxes and fees are included at checkout. Hawaii General Excise Tax is 4.127%. If you are booking online, FareHarbor, the vendor who owns and operates the booking software, charges an online booking fee, normally about 6%.

Come learn to surf or refresh and sharpen your skills with our experienced surf instructors. This activity offers Private Surf lessons (1 on 1), Semi Private Surf lessons (1 on 2) or a Group Surf lesson (minimum of 3 people above age 13).
Surf Lessons take place everyday Monday through Saturday at 9-11am 12-2pm or 3-5pm. All lessons are 2 hrs long. Activity begins with a 20 minute land lesson, then a 10 minute safety talk, then spend up to 90 minutes in the water safely catching waves.
You will meet at Hukilau Beach Park in Laie, near the PCC and the Courtyard Marriott. Year round, there are great waves for beginners. It’s a great family beach, so even those not taking the surf lesson will enjoy the fine sand and playful shore break.
You will first be instructed on land and then head out into the water with the instructor there to help you catch some Hawaiian waves. Great for all ages.
If you are interested in an advanced surf excursion, book the private lesson and tell us your experience level, what breaks you are looking to ride, etc. in the online booking form.
**Attention: For safety purposes and insurance requirements, everyone 13 years old or younger has to take a private surf lesson.

Please send tour cancellation requests or rescheduling requests directly to the operator you booked with. The cancellation policy for each company is included in the checkout process adjacent to the payment info and is also included in confirmation and reminder emails.
When in doubt, notify the operator you booked with and communicate with them as soon as you know you will need to cancel or reschedule. The earlier the better. Refunds are painless and rescheduling is easy using the FareHarbor software. So, don’t fret, the contact info for your operator is included on the top of all email communications with you.

If you cancel at least 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 6 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50 percent cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100 percent cancellation fee.
